Consolidation

Consolidation allows you to group one or more received packages so they can continue through the operational process within MIDLA.

To add a package to a consolidation, the shipment must already be registered and received in MIDLA.

To continue with the next stages of the operational workflow, the consolidation must be in Confirmed status.

How to Create a Consolidation in MIDLA​

From the main menu, go to:

Shipments → Consolidations

Select the option to create a new consolidation.

The process is divided into three stages:

01 Warehouse and Packages → 02 Service → 03 Summary

1. Warehouse and Packages​

In the first stage, you define the warehouse, the parties involved, and the packages that will be included in the consolidation.

Consolidation Information​

Complete the following fields:

  • Warehouse: select the warehouse from which the shipment will be taken.
  • Customer: select the customer associated with the consolidation.
  • Consignee: specify the recipient or consignee of the operation.

Fields marked with * are required.

Select the Packages​

Below the general information, MIDLA displays the receptions and packages available to be added to the consolidation.

For each package, you can view information such as:

  • Code
  • Type / Pieces
  • Contents
  • Dimensions
  • Weight / Volume
  • FOB

Use the corresponding checkbox to select the packages you want to add to the consolidation.

If you need to include all available packages, you can use Select All.

Each package is displayed together with its corresponding reception, allowing you to identify the shipment before adding it to the consolidation.

2. Service​

Once the warehouse, customer, consignee, and packages have been selected, continue to the Service stage.

At this stage, you define how the shipment will be delivered and the type of shipment that will be performed.

Select one of the following options:

  • Warehouse Pickup: the customer picks up the shipment directly from the warehouse.
  • Home Delivery: the shipment will be delivered to an address.

If you select Home Delivery, MIDLA enables the Shipment Type field:

  • Local Shipment: allows you to select a Delivery Address.
  • International Shipment: allows you to select the Destination Country from the available routes.

The available fields change automatically depending on the selected service and shipment type.

Select Next to continue to the Summary.

3. Summary​

In the final stage, review the registered information and the packages included before completing the consolidation.

Confirm the Consolidation​

Once all the information has been verified, confirm the consolidation to complete the process.

The consolidation must be in Confirmed status before it can continue to the next stages of the operational workflow.
