Reception
Reception is the process used to register and validate the physical arrival of a shipment at the warehouse in MIDLA.
During reception, the received package is identified, the associated information is verified, and the actual shipment data is recorded.
The process is carried out from Operations → Receptions → Receive.
Ways to Perform a Reception
The reception process depends on whether the shipment already has information registered in MIDLA.
-
With pre-alert: if the customer previously reported the arrival of the shipment, the warehouse locates the associated pending receipt and continues with the reception process.
-
Create inbound: if the shipment arrives at the warehouse without a previous pre-alert, the warehouse registers the inbound shipment directly in MIDLA.
In both cases, the goal is to register the physical arrival of the shipment and complete the actual information related to the packages received.
How to Perform a Reception in MIDLA
Reception with Pre-Alert
When the customer has previously submitted a pre-alert, the shipment information is already registered in MIDLA.
The warehouse must locate the corresponding pending receipt and complete the physical reception.
1. Go to Receptions
From the MIDLA main menu, go to:
Operations → Receptions → Receive
2. Search for the Receipt
When you enter the section, the Receive Order screen will be displayed.
From Search Receipt, locate the pending receipt associated with the pre-alert.
Select the appropriate search criterion from Search By and enter or scan the information in Search Value.
For example, the search can be performed using the Internal Reference.
Once the value has been entered, press Enter to perform the search.
The search tool allows you to locate a pending inbound receipt associated with information previously registered by the customer.
3. Verify the Shipment Information
When MIDLA finds the reference, the corresponding reception opens.
Verify the registered information and complete the actual data obtained when physically receiving the shipment.
The available information includes:

If the reception contains more than one package, select Add Package.
Each package can be registered individually with its own information.
